About Me

Welcome!

 I'm Sandra Schaetzel Uecker, a Fond du Lac, Wisconsin native, residing in Corral de Tierra, California. I am a graduate 

of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a BS in 

Education/English and a BA in Art Education,

 I taught at Goodrich High School, Fond du Lac, WI; before 

continuing my career as an art educator in Salinas, California. 

Since retiring, I returned to my love of painting in acrylics, 

influenced by Edward Hopper, Edouard Vuillard, Georgia 

O'Keeffe and French Post-Impressionists. My chosen subject 

matter includes landscapes, still life and some portrait.

I'm a member of the Thelma Art Center, 

Fond du Lac, WI and the Fond du Lac 

Artist Association. Locally, I am an exhibiting member 

of the Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation, Central Coast

 Artist Association, an Associate Member of the Carmel Art

 Association, Pacific Grove Art Center,

 Monterey Museum of Art and the

Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association.

I am also a contributing artist to the

Monterey Museum of Art “Miniatures”, the Pacific Grove 

Tiny Treasures, the Carmel Bach Festival Art Show

 “Art in the Pastures of Heaven” at the Church of the 

Good Shepherd, Gathering for Women-Monterey (a shelter 

for homeless women) and the

 the Arts Council of Monterey County.
